IGNACIO COLLADO

After completing my Baccalaureate of Excellence, I obtained the "Diploma of Excellence in Baccalaureate." I then went on to study a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, where I was awarded the Extraordinary End-of-Degree Prize and honors in approximately 22% of my credits. I continued my academic training with a Master's Degree in Materials Technology at the same university, achieving an average grade of "excellent" and obtaining honors in 50% of the subjects. Subsequently, I completed a Master's Degree in Physics at the Faculty of Physical Sciences of the UCM.

My research career began when I was awarded a collaboration grant from the Ministry of Education (2019) and was subsequently consolidated with the CSIC JAE Grant. I have worked on various R&D projects developed at the URJC and the CSIC. These include the development of smart multilayer coatings for wind turbines; the study of advanced techniques for recycling, reusing, and shaping composite materials using radiation heating, the Joule effect, and magnetic induction; and the characterization of composite materials that respond to thermal and electrical stimuli. I have also participated in the residual stress modeling project at the CSIC, as well as in the development of robotic systems for gait rehabilitation through effort learning. In addition, I worked for a year in a private company in the industry and as a researcher on a contract focused on the characterization of electrical material with conductive nanoloads, contributing to its structural and functional analysis. In the practical field, I was project manager for the transmission system of the UM05 and UM06 vehicles of the ÜMotorsport team, as part of the international Formula Student competition.

I have presented my work at numerous national and international conferences, including: Smart Materials & Surfaces (Milan, 2021), SAMPE Europe (Madrid, 2023), E-MRS (Strasbourg, 2024), POLY-CHAR 2024 (Madrid), CNMAT 2024 (Malaga), and ICNR 2024 (Madrid). At the same time, I have received awards such as the prize in the European innovation competition "EDP University Challenge 2020" and have published 12 scientific articles indexed in Scopus, mainly focused on the development of multifunctional materials, advanced nanocomposites, and technologies applied to sustainability and rehabilitation.
