Cristina Pablos Carro

Cristina Pablos is a University Professor in the field of Environmental Sciences at the University; and responsible for the biological testing area of the Water Laboratory (LAGUA) at the same University. She has been a visiting researcher in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, at the University of California (Riverside, USA); Institute of Technological Development for the Chemical Industry (Santa Fe, Argentina); NIBEC (Nanotechnology & Integrated BioEngineering Centre), Engineering Research Institute (ERI), School of Engineering, University of Ulster (Jordanstown Campus, Newtownabbey, Belfast, United Kingdom); and BioTeC+ (Chemical and Biochemical Process Technology and Control), KU Leuven (Ghent, Belgium). She has been working on photocatalytic processes for 10 years, especially in the field of wastewater disinfection for reuse. Her knowledge of microbial growth techniques and Advanced Oxidation Processes has led to the development of new areas of research related to emerging technologies in food safety and inactivation of bacterial biofilms on surfaces. As a result of her research work, Cristina Pablos has collaborated in 27 research projects, being PI in 3 of them; 43 scientific publications (first quartile), 5 (second quartile), and 4 book chapters; and in 84 contributions to both national and international scientific conferences. In addition to her research work, she has been the supervisor of 32 students in Final Degree Projects and 4 in Master's Degrees, and 4 Doctoral Theses as a result of H2020-MSCA-ITN-2018, N.812574.
